Service Engineer - Bristol / South West
GBP30,000 basic salary plus overtime
Company van plus tablet, phone and other benefits
Our well established client are currently looking to recruit a professional Service Engineer to cover the South West / South Wales region. As one of the UK's fastest growing Automotive equipment service providers, the company handles service, maintenance, calibration and emergency breakdowns for some of the UK's largest vehicle servicing groups. As our client are owned by a larger multi-national corporation, they are ideally placed to grow further and offer excellent prospects for stability and career progression.
Essential requirements of Service Engineer:

Installation, service and training/support of product range, so having an electro-mechanical engineering background is essential
*
Good working knowledge and experience of specialist automotive equipment
*
Working with the latest in wheel balancing and alignment technology, vehicle lifts and wheel lifters
*
Our client are not tied to any one manufacturer so a broad knowledge of service of products will be needed
*
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, towards customers and work colleagues
*
Ability to work under own supervision
*
Flexibility with working hours as required
*
Full UK driving license
*
Accurate control of own van stock
*
Ability to understand procedures and work instructions, working to specified standards for inspections, calibrations and maintenance, and an eye for detail
Desirable requirements of Service Engineer:
*
Relevant trade qualifications/certifications
*
Accreditations for equipment calibration
*
Experience of maintaining all makes of MOT and ATL/ATF equipment
As a Service Engineer, the successful candidate will receive a good salary, company vehicle, mobile phone, tablet device and have the opportunity to work within an extremely well-organised and reputable operation. Training will be given both initially and ongoing, as required.
Where and when the business requires, you may be asked to work on a national basis with occassional overnight stay.
