SHARED LIVES CO-ORDINATOR / RESIDENTIAL MANAGER

 

Grade 9:10 £26,420 - £31,518 per annum

 

Commencing salary is subject to qualifications and experience

Based from Ruskin Mill College - Nailsworth near Stroud, Gloucestershire

Applications are invited for the above post to work flexible hours during a 40 hour week that will include evenings.

Transform Residential Limited is the associated residential provision of The Ruskin Mill Trust Group which operates five colleges in Birmingham, Horsley (Gloucestershire), Pembrokeshire, Sheffield, and Stourbridge, an associated site in Darlington, as well as an independent specialist school in Sheffield.  We provide innovative and experiential education for children, young people and adults with special learning needs, developed out of the inspiration of Rudolf Steiner, William Morris and John Ruskin


The core purpose of this role is to provide and manage a range of residential provision for students who attend Ruskin Mill College in the locality.  The residential provision may be through a Shared Lives Scheme, supported residential households or training flats.

You will ensure the effective operation of the residential provision and working directly with the Head of Residential, ensure the delivery of a high quality, compliant residential provision which has an extended curriculum programme on offer to the student.

The role will involve developing, leading, managing and sustaining a range of provisions in a flexible and collaborative manner ensuring that the requirements of the student, Transform Residential Limited, Ruskin Mill Trust and appropriate regulatory bodies are met.

The post-holder must have the significant operational experience in a care environment working with all levels of staff and management, high levels of personal resilience, and emotional and social intelligence and ideally have knowledge of Rudolf Steiner Holistic Education with particular reference to the works and insights of John Ruskin and William Morris.
