The Role

A leading UK bank are looking to hire an experienced Business Manager to execute a wide range of business management activities, including Headcount, Resourcing and Financial management, Supplier and Commercial management, Strategy and Innovation, Compliance and Governance. This in an initial six month contract based in Cheshire, the initial day rate on offer is GBP250/day.

The core responsibilities of the Business Manager will be:

• Execute strategic plans for the Business Management function, effectively managing activities to deliver the strategic plan
• Build effective partnerships with key stakeholders
• Facilitate the change governance processes, driving continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and best practice
• Effectively manage workforce planning, headcount, budgets, forecasts and performance - ensuring business targets are met

Essential Skills/Experience

• Previous experience of successful business management within financial services firms
• Experience of financial, resource and risk management
• Must have strong budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking and financial reporting skills
• Resource management experience
• The successful candidate should be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline ideally with an MBA or honours degree
