Head of Corporate Reporting

We are seeking a highly experienced CCAB qualified accountant for the post of Head of Corporate Reporting to lead and support the strategic planning process, monthly monitoring and financial and non-financial KPI reporting for the University. You will also be responsible for the costing accountant and the project management accountant. You will liaise with colleagues across the University. You must have a proven track record in business intelligence reporting and managing projects. You should have excellent communication and IT skills.

You will be responsible for:

  • leading on strategic and financial planning for the University; budgetary control and reporting
  • liaising with, challenging and providing support to the Heads of Faculty Finance
  • co-ordinating and leading on the strategic five year planning and monthly monitoring report required for Executive Board, Finance and Resources Committee and the Board of Governors
  • managing the TRAC/Costing Management Accountant
  • providing leadership for change and continuous improvement.

You should have:

  • a CCAB qualification, with significant post-qualifying experience in complex and diverse organisations
  • significant management accounting / financial planning and closure of accounts experience in a complex organisation
  • report writing for Senior Managers or Committees/Boards
  • experience in use of large integrated financial systems
  • ability to synthesise and analyse complex information and make sound judgements and decisions based on this.
