UK Business Development Manager - Software for Education / Schools
Covering North London, Milton Keynes, Luton, Watford, Cambridge
£25,000 to £30,000 Base with realistic OTE £50,000+ (uncapped) + Car Allowance, Private Medical Insurance + Company Pension

++ An excellent opportunity for a results-driven candidate with previous experience of selling into the education sector. Previous experience of selling software / assessment and tracking systems into schools would be highly advantageous ++


The Company:

Designed in partnership with schools, we provide a smart assessment, tracking & communication web-based solution for schools, academies, MATs and local authorities. Its modular approach is designed to dramatically reduce the administration and data management burden. We also fully integrate with leading schools’ management ICT systems including SIMS, RM Integris, Facility CMIS, Scholar Pack and Wauton Samuel.

The UK Business Development Manager Role:

+ Field-based sales role will be mostly New Business Development with the expectation of some Account Management.
+ Selling leading software solutions into the Education Sector.
+ Working closely with telesales to maximise appointment opportunities.
+ Presenting products/solutions at SLT meetings, events and to Academy Trusts.
+ Representing the company at exhibitions and events, using the opportunity to generate leads and proactively following up on.
+ Accurate reporting of sales pipelines

Key Skills/Experience:

+ At least 3 years’ experience of public sector sales, educational knowledge or sales experience in this sector.
+ Must have proof of over achieving on sales targets.
+ Must uphold excellent presentation, negotiating, influencing and closing skills.
+ Be comfortable dealing with contacts at all levels such as Headteachers, Local Authorities and Academy Trusts.
+ Have strong evidence based sales record of selling into Schools.
+ Be enthusiastic, confident and organised with a flexible approach to work.
+ The candidate must be capable of working independently and autonomously as well as functioning as part of a team.
+ Knowledge of Primary Assessment is beneficial but not essential
+ Must have good territory management skills

The role will require travel throughout the UK

Our Package:

+ £25,000 to £30,000 with realistic OTE £50,000+ (uncapped)
+ Car allowance - £3k
+ Holidays – 20 days + Bank Holidays
+ Private medical insurance/Company Pension

You might currently be working or have worked for the likes of O Track, Classroom Monitor, Target Tracker or Frog Education in the capacity of: Field Sales Consultant, Field Sales Account Manager, School Software Sales, Education Software Sales, Business Development, Sales Executive, Technical Sales.
