JOB TITLE: LGV / HGV Class 1 Driver
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive package available for the right candidate
WORKING HOURS: Permanent, full-time - 40 hours per week
THE COMPANY: Our client provides integrated logistics services to the world's leading players in the oil and gas industry since 1968. They deliver cost effective and innovative offshore solutions that meet the highest possible standards of safety to people and the environment. Due to ongoing requirements, they are currently recruiting for LGV Class 1 Driver positions.
THE ROLE: As an LGV / HGV Class 1 Driver in the Aberdeen area you will be responsible for operating transport vehicles as directed by the line supervisor. Performing loading and unloading of vessels, trailers, containers or other duties as directed by the line supervisor in accordance with specified training and competency measures.
Key Responsibilities of the LGV / HGV Class 1 Driver to include:-
To carry out regular vehicle checks as company procedures/legal requirements.
To check the load is secure before leaving the yard or customer's premises.
To make deliveries and collections in an efficient and safe manner.
To ensure all legal documentation is signed and correct before leaving the customer's premises.
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate MUST have the driving entitlement to drive class 1 vehicles. You must also hold a CPC. Any ADR certificates are desirable but not essential as full training can be given to the right candidate. Driving experience is preferable but not essential. The successful candidate will have the ability to promote team working, flexibility, enthusiasm and determination to ensure the success of the team. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate with other members of the team.
Key experience essential for the role of LGV / HGV Class 1 Driver based in Aberdeen:
LGV Class 1 licence
CPC
ADR - Carriage of dangerous goods by road regulations (preferable)
Driving experience preferable
