Hours per week – 40 hours per week

Salary- c.£29,000 per annum, negotiable DOE

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Matrix Networks as a Site Supervisor.

Matrix Networks are a national company specialising in the installation of utility infrastructure across a diverse range of sectors, such as retail, industrial, leisure, commercial, education, local government and renewable energy.

The Site Supervisor will be based out of the Company Head Office in Warrington and will assist the Project Managers in overseeing schemes from onset to completion.

Key Accountabilities of the Site Supervisor

Delivery

- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of Matrix and its customers

- Issue daily progress reports to the Project Manager 

- Issue work instructions to staff and contractors, and ensure that they are fully understood and followed

- Ensure the accurate recording of closing and as-laid details

- Identify and inform the Company of commercial opportunities as appropriate.

Health, Safety and Environment

- Implement Matrix's, and customers, safety rules, instructions, and procedures.

- Actively monitor Contractors within your responsibility

- Ensure Risk Assessments are carried out at all stages of a project.

- Ensure that all statutory records, certificates, licenses, notifications and notices are in place.

- Conduct site safety inspections and complete associated paperwork.

- Carry out site audits on staff and contractors.

- Ensure that accidents and near misses and suitably reported, to the Project and Health and Safety Manager

- Report any concerns regarding SHE to the Project/ Operations manager and HESQ Department.

Planning and organising

- Assist in the scheduling of activities within projects.

- Liaise with customer/site manager to manage critical dates.

- Liaise with contractors and street works inspectors

Site Supervisor Person Specification

- City and Guilds (or equivalent) in electrical engineering (or demonstrable level of achievement through experience

- Certification in the following areas preferred: First Aid, CSCS, Manual Handling, Health and Safety awareness, Driving, NRSWA Supervisor, SSSTS or SMSTS

- Knowledge of the utility (electric, gas and water) industry

- Experienced in the installation and management of utility infrastructure

- Good people management skills

- Computer literate -  skilled in use of Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Project

- Sound knowledge of H&S and its practical implications

- Knowledge of CDM regulations preferred
