Our client is looking for a Neighbourhoods Officer who wants to share the vision of delivering better homes, friendlier communities - together.
They are currently seeking a Neighbourhoods Officer to take personal responsibility to ensure delivery of a high standard of customer service that is responsive to customer needs, meets the Trust’s service standards and proactively keeps customers and stakeholders informed of progress.
Other duties will include delivering tenancy/housing management services according to standards and in a customer-focused manner in a ‘patch’, and that the environment is maintained. Proactively you will also deliver housing management services to customers, responding to their needs and actively seeking feedback. Further to this you will act as the key relationship manager for the customer, ensuring end-to-end processes are completed according to standards, policies and procedures, taking ownership for the customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of methods of the key principles in safeguarding and protecting ‘vulnerable’ adults and children. You will also have strong knowledge of housing legislation in relation to lettings, tenancy conditions, ASB and rent collection. Further to this experience of welfare benefits and the implications of the reform agenda and the use of risk assessment in protecting the health and safety or self, other colleagues, customer and the public would be preferred.
Experience of working with a diverse, sometimes vulnerable customer caseload to provide effective support and advice is essential. A level 2 qualifications relevant to the post (for example, GCSEs or Level 2 NVQ) and a relevant professional membership (for example Membership of the Chartered Institute of Housing) would be an advantage.
Owing to the nature of this position a full driving license is required along with access to vehicle, and any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory checking report from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
