Money Advisor / Financial Inclusion / Income Management Advisor
Location: Portishead
Salary: £22,897 - £25,422 per annum
Permanent, 30-37 hours per week (dependant on successful candidate)

About the role:
They have an exciting opportunity for a Money Advisor to join their Income Team on a permanent basis. This specialist role will focus on providing support to their residents through the changes of the Welfare Reform Act to avoid financial crisis, whilst developing their skills and confidence to successfully manage their finances.
You will be managing a caseload of clients to maximise income and assist in maintaining their financial capability in order to sustain their tenancy. You will also be required to act as a representative and advocate for clients and present cases at statutory bodies, tribunals and courts when necessary.
About you:
They are looking for a highly motivated individual who can bring passion to this challenging role. You should be up-to-date with all welfare benefits (including Universal Credit and benefit capped applicants) financial-related legislation and case law, and have practical experience of applying this knowledge.
Experience of working in a similar role and dealing with debt casework would be highly desirable. A willingness to study for, and achieve, the Institute of Money Advisers (IMA) Certificate in Money Advice Practice, and to become a DRO Intermediary is essential. They would require this to be completed within 12 months.
