Business Development Manager 
Birmingham, West Midlands (with travel to visit customers) 
£25,000 Basic Plus Highly Competitive Commission Scheme

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a family business who have an excellent reputation within the truck and van industry. 

This role will offer the successful candidate the chance to work in a hands-on capability, making the role their own. There is also the genuine opportunity to progress with this expanding and developing business. 

Key Responsibilities 

- New business development through both telesales and field sales 
- Key account management 
- Generating leads and managing the sales process through to closure 
- HGV/LCV freight calculations, including tenders 
- Submission of freight quotes and tender documents 
- Conduct regular sales visits 
- Achieve agreed sales and growth targets 
- Communicate the HGV/LCV sales developments with all in-house stakeholders 
- Assist with the development of the company’s HGV/LCV sales strategy 
- Prepare monthly sales reports and budgets 

You will possess: 

- Business to business sales expertise within the HGV/LCV industry 
- Knowledge of the HGV/LCV industry 
- Knowledge of the truck sales process 
- Experience of relationship management 
- Experience of supply and pipeline management to ensure volume and profit targets are met/exceeded
