Are you enthusiastic with a real passion for Care?

Want to work in a Senior Care Assistant role where you can make a real difference every day?

We have a fantastic opportunity for committed and passionate Senior Care Assistants to join our team in our Ty Coch Nursing Home, Llanishen, Cardiff.

This sounds great, tell me more…!

Linc-Cymru Housing Association is pleased to announce the acquisition of Ty Coch Nursing Home in Llanishen. Ty Coch is the latest addition to our expanding portfolio of care services in South Wales, with Linc-Cymru currently operating Penylan House in Cardiff and Capel Grange in Newport. As we expand our range of services, we are looking for dedicated individuals whom want to deliver the highest standards of person centered care in the not for profit sector.

As the Senior Care Assistant, you will work closely with our Care Assistants and Nurses as a supportive care team within an assigned ‘community’ to deliver consistently high quality care, and we very much promote a team culture. The main focus of your role will be to help the nurse coordinate the nursing floor, to ensure the efficient delivery of person centred care. You will act as a champion for ensuring documentation is complete, the shift is organised, and coaching and mentoring your staff team. You will have bundles of enthusiasm, and have a passion of training and supporting your colleagues to deliver the best care possible.

You must be able to manage multiple tasks through to completion and handle difficult situations sensitively, adapting promptly to the changing needs of our Elders, always demonstrating sound judgement, common sense and initiative.

What skills do I need to have?

We’d like to hear from you if you’re a talented and experienced Carer, who understands care delivery and its pressures, and enjoys making a real difference to Elders’ lives. You'll need a minimum NVQ / QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care (and be committed to achieving an NVQ Level 3), along with previous experience of leading a staff team.

You must be reliable and committed to making a positive difference to the Elders and have a genuine interest and enthusiasm in delivering person-centred care.
