Applus Car Testing Service Ltd. are recruiting for a Part-Time (2 days per week) HGV Vehicle Inspector on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract based in London. You will be required to cover the Greater London area as part of your contract. A Company vehicle and equipment will be provided. Inspection training will be afforded to the successful candidate, would suit a Grade 3 qualified Mechanic.

Role: Conduct vehicle inspections and other duties in an efficient manner, offering a quality standard of service to a high calibre client. Pay: £18 per hour.

Accountabilities

• To efficiently undertake the test inspection as per standard procedure
• Deal with queries on test procedures and results in a pleasant and friendly manner
• Maintain full records of testing work (incl PC Entry) and administration
• Handle client confidential information
• Provide efficient and friendly service
• Undertake other duties as required.
• Present a professional image through personal grooming and presentation
• Responsible for health & safety

Competencies

• Fully qualified HGV mechanic NVQ/City & Guilds level 3 qualification or similar in vehicle maintenance or inspection
• Inspection  experience an advantage
• Full clean HGV driving licence
• Computer literate
