Salary: £22,657.33 (based on 42 hours per week, including night shift allowance) + shift allowance where applicable

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Estate Patrol team as a Patrol officer; this position will be both interesting and challenging.
As a uniformed officer reporting directly to the Security Shift Supervisor, and working with a team of Security Patrol Officers, you will act as an ambassador for the University of Exeter providing a highly visible presence and service in and around the Streatham and St Luke's campuses including the wider University Estate and the surrounding area. You will be required to carry out a wide range of tasks to ensure the safety and wellbeing of University students, staff, and visitors. Responding to incidents and emergencies in line with University Safety and Security Procedures, you will demonstrate careful judgment, excellent communication and customer service skills and a high level of integrity.
You will have a proven track record of working in a customer facing role and show an ability to maintain a calm, approachable and professional demeanour in stressful situations. You will possess a good sense of initiative and judgment in order to assess risks and respond accordingly. This is a stimulating role that will draw upon the full range of your experience and skill base allowing for regular interactions with students, helping them enjoy a rich and fulfilling student experience.
Working pattern: 42 hours per week, rotating 12 hour shifts including days and nights (4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off).
A comprehensive induction and progressive training programme including regular reviews will be provided.
Candidates not SIA qualified will require a DBS check and you must be the holder of a full UK driving licence.
