Sous chef for Bistro Cafe - North Cornwall

Sous Chef - £19,000 - £21,000 - Working 5 days of 7 - mix of splits and straights - Bistro Cafe We are working with an excellent client whose establishments are situated on one of Cornwall's stunning North coast beaches. The establishments over look golden sands, the raw power of the Atlantic Ocean and some of the best sunsets Cornwall has to offer. Our client owns two establishments on the same beach, one as part of their four star rated hotel set back just off the beach and the other a small beach side bistro café on the beach itself. We are looking to recruit a Sous chef for this establishment. The details are as follows; As a Sous chef you will be expected to assist in overseeing all kitchen operations and staff. You will be in charge of running your own section and ensuring all staff are keeping to the expected standards in all quality, quantity and health and hygiene. You will be expected to keep on top of ordering and stock control whilst also assisting the head chef with completing necessary daily paperwork. You will be expected in the head chefs absence to take control of the kitchen and run it, keeping to the expected standards of the head chef. Within this role you will need to be able to cook to a high level and work well within a high pressure environment. You will be a team player whilst also having the ability to provide direction.
