ISL Recruitment is working with a long-standing client in hiring a Full Stack Web Developer to join their rapidly growing team. This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit team of Developers in an environment that will allow you to develop you technical expertise. As the Full Stack Web Developer (C#; SQL; Entity Framework; MVC), you will be working alongside 5 other Web Application Developers and very closely with a team of 5 Desktop Developers and one 1 Senior Tester. You will be experienced with the Microsoft tech stack and will be comfortable programming with:
*C#
*SQL Server
*Entity Framework
*MVC
*HTML/CSSS/JavaScript
In addition to all of the above if you have any exposure with the below this will be super advantageous, likewise if you don't you will have the opportunity to learn!
*SASS
*WCF
*Azure
*Unit Testing
You will enjoy and be comfortable in an Agile working environment, within a small scrum. You will be working on a variety of products, both legacy and greenfield work. Good knowledge of application designn and relational databases is really key for this role, so you will be experienced in this area.
This is a very busy development environment, you will have the chance to not only develop your existing technical skills (C#; SQL; Entity Framework; MVC), but also your career in this very successful organisation. I asked the Head of Development to describe the working environment and he said "We are an easy going, personable and friendly team. There is a lot of interaction and asking within the team, we work very closely together and any ideas are taken on board and really encouraged! We really are a very diverse bunch and have actually set up our running club so head out at lunch time for a jog, not everyone but a lot of us!"
There is a very small reporting line and there is a lot of autonomy in this team, as such if a new piece of tech is needed to work on a project the whole team will be sent for external training and then you get back and use it straight away. The decision on what technology and architecture is used is made as a team in bi-weekly sprint meetings.
Being based in central Bath is a great place to work and only about a 5 minute walk from the station to the office. So all of the shops and restaurants are within an easy walking distance.
The role is based in the office Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 17:30 and my client offer 25 days holiday, discounted gym membership, pension scheme, child care vouchers.
I have placed 3 Developers into this team over the past couple of months and the feedback from everyone has been that they have never felt so comfortable in an interview. They are made to feel so welcome and relaxed and the process really is just very swift. I have immediate interview slots available, this is a 1 stage face to face interview.
The salary on offer is GBP35,000 - GBP45,000 and the role is to start as soon as possible!
