We're looking for a world-class Editor to write, commission, and edit articles for Simple Talk, Redgate's industry-leading technical journal.

Simple Talk has already reached 1,000,000 reads each month. Your job will be to attract the next million, using your intimate knowledge of the Microsoft Data Platform (especially SQL Server) to make sure Redgate remains a thought leader in the database software industry.

Working in our Inbound Marketing Team, you work with existing authors, whilsting also building a stable base of reliable, insightful new writers. You'll commission articles on all aspects of the database landscape, from guides to the basics and in-depth examinations of features, to cutting-edge commentary and controversial opinion pieces. You'll also work with the wider team to produce a regular newsletter and drive up its performance. You will have the opportunity to introduce different formats of content, and experiment with new ways to talk to our audience, and drive engagement with the site.

As a prominent voice in the SQL Server community, you'll write articles yourself, covering the topics you think matter most to your peers and to Redgate.

Last, but not least, you'll be the public face of Simple Talk. You'll be the point of contact for everyone inside and outside Redgate, reply to emails to the Editor, and represent Simple Talk to other community influencers and potential writers, squarely positioning us as trustworthy industry experts.

To apply, just send us your CV and a covering letter - make sure to include some of your own articles.
