Reference number: A
Location: Extensive travel across the SE region, with an office base in either Brighton or London.
Starting salary range is GBP25,463 to GBP27,585 per annum
Hours: Full time
Contract: Permanent

As a charitable organisation, we rely on public support to enable us to fund our work to Save Nature. As the South East Membership Development Manager, you will lead and develop a regional face-to-face fundraising team who promote the work of the RSPB to members of the public in an enthusiastic, passionate and persuasive way with the aim of recruiting new members at events and venues across the South East (covering Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and London).

You will have experience in building teams, and motivating teams to achieve their targets by leading from the front, setting direction, creating energy and building capability of the team as a whole, and the individual staff that you line-manage. You will be responsible for the team's delivery against KPIs, budgets and forecasts. You will also need to be able to think on your feet and remain calm and focused under pressure, with the ability to embrace change.

In this role, we will set you up to succeed, with a thorough induction, excellent training, one to one support from your line-manager and ongoing support from your peers and other colleagues across the UK.

You will need to be able to undertake occasional work outside of normal office hours (including some weekends). You will need to undertake regular travel throughout the South East and occasional travel nationally.

Being an RSPB Membership Development Manager means you have the opportunity to make a real and tangible difference to nature and people every day in a fast-moving business environment.

If you are passionate about making a difference to a great cause through leading and developing a team to achieve results, and believe you are the right person for this exciting and rewarding role, we would love to hear from you.
