Job Title: Lecturer in Health & Social Care

Salary: £23,265 - £28,624 per annum

Our client are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join our team.

The successful candidate will have the ability to manage a diverse range of learners and who uses interactive methods in the classroom. Planning and preparation of schemes of work, lesson plans and the continual assessment of learner work is a significant part of this role. This involves managing the quality of the course through implementation of robust internal verification schedules. Communicating effectively and working as a part of a wider team is a key part of this position.

Experience teaching on BTEC programmes at level 2 & 3, to a minimum standard of grade 2 is essential as is experience in effectively managing learners through their College programmes. Teaching, learning and assessment should be in the forefront of everything you do and you should aspire to excellence in all areas of your work.

You value learner experience and make that the motivation behind aspiring towards excellence. You are adept at managing change and can quickly adapt your practices to respond to differing FE climates. You use IT to enhance your working practices as well as learning opportunities for learners. You are highly effective at managing your time and meeting deadlines and you take being a team member seriously. You have up-to-date knowledge of the health and social care services where previous employment in the sector would be a distinct advantage.
