About us

At Bath Spa University we work with one clear vision: to be a leading university in creativity, culture and enterprise. And we place collaboration at the heart of everything we do. With ever growing student numbers, we make sure our people are engaged and empowered by blending digital technologies, international perspectives, work-oriented connections and inspirational teaching. Together we’re on a journey to transform our students’ lives. And it starts with people like you.

About the role

This role plays a crucial position within the Careers and Employability team in which the university’s strategic engagement with external organisations seeking access to student talent  is handled through a single team.

Around 80% of students at Bath Spa University seek part-time work to support their studies which makes the provision of extensive, diverse, high-quality, and accessible part-time work a fundamental element in student support and student satisfaction.

The Job Shop Coordinator predominantly leads on liaison with employers wanting to recruit students on a part-time basis, and is heavily involved in advice and guidance with students around securing part-time roles. Due to the high volume of traffic that is generated through the  Job Shop there is also a need to ensure the post holder is well integrated into the wider Careers and Employability team and can cross sell and signpost to the wider team where necessary.

About you (requirements)

We are looking for someone who has previous experience in at least one of the following:  student employment, personnel management or a recruitment agency, with up to date knowledge in Employment law and HMRC regulations  in relation to recruitment and selection.
