DCI (Electrical Installations) Ltd are a modern company based in Sale, Greater Manchester (2 minute walk from Sale Metro link station)

As an Administration Assistant and Receptionist, you will provide a high level of administrative support to the business. You will have the opportunity to work within a friendly, dynamic team and build relationship with our clients in a customer facing role.


• Experience as an administrative and/or administrative assistant

• Excellent people skills

• Excellent customer service skills

• Keen interest in learning about the business

• Excellent verbal, written and IT communication skills   (Word, MS Excel, Outlook and vehicle tracking)

• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service

• Able to work using own initiative

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task

• A good standard of English and Mathematics.

  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, including printers
  • GCSE or equivalent qualifications
  • Business administration / secretarial / typing or equivalent qualification.


You will be responsible for:

Customer Facing Responsibilities

  • Handling incoming calls and emails
  • Dealing with visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Providing general support to visitors including providing refreshments.


  • Contacting clients to arrange works and provide progress reports as supplied by operatives.
  • Writing and distributing email and other correspondence for staff and customers
  • Assisting in the preparation of the company’s bi-monthly newsletter
  • Maintaining and updating databases
  • Organising and distributing materials to customers.
  • Updating senior managers

Office Administration

  • Maintaining an efficient and logical filing system
  • Ordering office supplies and uniform.
  • Liaising with the Contracts Manager to update senior managers and record work progress
  • Assist operatives with purchase ordering
  • Invoicing
  • Collating staff time sheets and holidays
  • Maintaining ISO, IIP and Professional body qualification information
  • Assisting in vehicle tracking management
  • Arranging maintenance / repair of vehicle fleet.
  • Assisting with a wide variety of other general admin tasks
  • Routine management of the office, handling mail, tidying and maintaining a pleasant working environment.
  • Administer financial documentation, invoicing etc, on a weekly basis to support the Finance Director.

In house training is available in all areas that may be new to the successful candidate.




Working Hours and Holiday Entitlement

  • 20 days holiday per annum, plus usual bank holidays.
  • Pay – Between £14,000 and 17,000 depending upon experience for a 40 hour week with 45 minute paid lunch break.
