Electrician

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join the team based in Rochdale. You will be on a full time permanent basis and receive a competitive salary of £32,000 - £36,000 per annum plus annual bonus scheme.

Our client is looking to add an electrical contracting division to their busy, successful, independent wholesaler.

They are looking for a hardworking, ambitious Electrician to help create and grow this project. This role will give the suitable person opportunities to advance into a management role, potentially leading a team of contractors.

As their Electrician you will be working 41.5 Hours per week with 22 days holiday per year. Van, tools and uniform will be provided.

The successful Electrician must have the following skills

- Ability to accurately price all types of work by estimating completion time

- Strong attention to detail and an extremely high standard of work

- Clear understanding of health and safety

- Must work neatly and efficiently

- Extensive experience working in industrial environments, installing containment (tray, trunking, conduit etc) and cables to high standard

- Experience working with and installing three phase distribution equipment and machinery

- Experience working with and terminating industrial cables such as SWA and SY

- Ability to read control panel drawings and cable schedule

- Experience designing and building control panels, working neatly to very high standards

- Be approachable and good communication skills around customers

- Comfortable and adaptable to work around customers when working in commercial office environments (for example changing light fittings in a working office) causing as little disruption as possible

- Call out and weekend work may be required at times

- Scissor lift license an advantage

- Must have a valid ECS card

- At least 5 years’ experience working in a similar role

- Full UK clean driving license
