Staffbase have been appointed to recruit an experienced Site Manager to oversee all production activities, process and compliance requirements at a large (MRF) waste recycling plant in Grantham.
We are seeking applicants who have previous site compliance / operational management experience in the waste and recycling industry.
The Role:
Reporting to the director and working with the management team you will be the key point of contact with the Environment Agency and for supporting the management team with all aspects of QSE compliance activities at a large recycling facility.
You will be responsible for overseeing all production, maintenance and compliance for core recycling and processing activities including but not limited to the following:
- Oversee all production & maintenance activities
- Management of Waste Materials
- Management of a Waste Processing Environment
- Movement & Handling Operations
- Heavy Plant & Machinery
- Ensure compliance with all Company procedures, including IMS
- Reporting of incidents and accidents as per company procedure
- Operate administration systems as applicable to operational needs, including sickness and attendance reports.
- Liaison with regulatory authorities as required.
- Continuous site improvement and development and maximisation of recycling rates and processing efficiency.
- Ensure that all information is recorded and passed to relevant Management team in a timely fashion and in line with reporting requirements
Candidates:
You will have at least 5 years previous waste & recycling operations management experience and you will demonstrate the knowledge of processing and manufacturing techniques to obtain maximum efficiency, throughput and quality end products in order to achieve improved financial performance for the facility within a specified time frame.
It is essential that you have the following qualifications;
Relevant COTC Transfer/4 Treatment
WAMITAB qualification
Quality qualification / experience
IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
In addition you will display excellent knowledge & awareness of Waste Management and HSE Legislation and its practical application to MRF / WTS industry.
