Sewell Wallis are working with a large and dominant engineering company who are looking for an experienced Payroll Assistant to work in an all-encompassing, stand-alone role.

The role will provide a first class pay service and oversee the day to day activities of the Payroll function for the UK company. You will be passionate about payroll and have the desire to drive performance to make it the most efficient and effective as possible and to really add value to the employee's experience of the payroll and benefits process.

Key Responsibilities;

-Calculate process and reconcile the full payroll.
-Ensuring all compliance is maintained.
-Establish controls, approvals and audit controls.
-Be responsible for all internal and statutory reporting.
-Support, develop and further test the payroll system to enable continued improvements and efficiencies to be introduced.

This position requires an individual who understands the necessity for confidentiality and professionalism at all times and is able to deliver in a fast-paced, demanding environment with the ability to adapt to change.

We require someone who has the ability to manage the entire end to end payroll process, whilst having the ability to deliver continuous improvement.

You will have the ability to communicate with people at all levels and have a high level of attention to detail and strong IT skills.
