This independent music company is breaking down boundaries to deliver authentic and creative music solutions to content creators in every industry, all around the world. They deliver music and metadata content via their web platform and direct, to major customers, music aggregators and partners. They currently average 1000 tracks every two weeks, with a growing number of tracks published to commercial streaming/download platforms such as Spotify and iTunes.

A small number of customers also receive music and metadata content updates via hard drive & FTP.

Purpose of the role:
As a Content Operations Manager, you will have the industry and technical knowledge needed to support their music, sales, publishing and technology teams in the release process, delivering a smooth exchange of music and metadata, making it easy for partners to use their music and report its use.

Key responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Managing the music release process, distributing mastered files and metadata to customers, aggregators, partners and streaming/download platforms
- Managing the life cycle of music including new releases, takedowns, price-changes, pre-orders etc.
- Providing support to their sales team and major customers on metadata and music ingestion, FTP, digital file-formats
- Bespoke metadata deliveries. Creation of new SQL procedures and maintenance of the exiting Stored Procs for bespoke metadata requests for high value customers
- Improving existing procedures and managing processes that enable their customers to access their music catalogue
- Support of customers in off-line environments and making sure they have access to the latest releases.
- Designing and maintaining reports of usage and performing audits on 3rd party platforms (TuneSat/BMAT/Source Audio) and making sure that all our content is both available and displayed correctly
- Liaising regularly with other members of the sales team and colleagues from a range of departments, including: Development, Product and Sales
- Managing on-boarding of new customers, clients and platforms. Documenting their requirements and feeding back to internal teams for scheduling
- Keeping existing clients constantly aware of company products that may benefit them to maximise client potential
- Developing long-term relationships with key clients, providing technical assistance, product education

Key skills - essential:
- Strong technical experience with digital delivery of high-quality music and artwork in a production environment
- Experience with music metadata formats in a commercial context (PRO, Digital Music Services, Record Label music and metadata production)
- Experience with XML, DDEX, ID3, metadata embedding, media library management and encoding/ transcoding technologies
- Experience with multiple/ large file transfer technologies
