The Role
- Checking, repairing, and maintaining valves and machine controls, working to a planned preventative maintenance programme. Repairs and servicing of moulding machinery and tools.
- Machine maintenance and servicing checks.
- Responsible for cleanliness and tidiness of the manufacturing area.
- Stock control of all necessary spares and equipment to ensure they are available and ordered for machine and valve overhaul programme.
- Opportunity for progression to a team leadership role.
The Individual
- Ideally the appointee should have completed a time served apprenticeship, City and Guilds, or equivalent.
- The individual must have good hydraulic and pneumatic systems knowledge, and previous experience in lean manufacturing environments is preferable.
- A self-motivated person who is equally happy working both independently, and as part of a team, and who is continually looking for opportunities for improvements in the workplace.
- Flexible on shift times and work activities.
