CNC Tool Grinder
An exciting opportunity has become available for a CNC Tool Grinder to work with an important automotive manufacturing company based in Swindon on a long Fixed Term Contract until May 2019.
Working in a team of six Tool Setters, the main purpose of your role will be to grind tools for production to ensure the smooth running of our engine manufacturing facility.
As CNC Tool Grinder you will be playing an important and valued part within the organisation and have the opportunity to work on modern machinery and machining 100's of variations of tools.
Within this role you will have a direct impact and contribution to the smooth and efficient running of a world class engine plant where both petrol and diesel combustion engines are produced.
Main responsibilities:
*Grinding drills, reamers and cutters to high tolerances to standard on our ANCA grinding machine
*Valve seat grinding, inspection and setting
*Preparing and maintaining existing tool stock levels for production
*Timely delivery of tooling in a controlled and documented way
*Report shortages
*Maintain a high standard of 5S
To be considered for the position of CNC Tool Grinder you must have/be:
*NVQ Level 3 in Tooling or Craft Mechanical
*Cutter grinding experience
*CNC Programing experience, ideally ANCA RX7
*Experience with lathes, mills, grinding and pillar drills
*Proficient in the use of inspection equipment including micrometres and verniers
*Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
It would be highly advantageous to have:
*Experience of working in an automotive environment
*Proficient in the use of 3D Software relevant to ANCA grinding machines
