About the role
As Financial Inclusion Officer, you will be responsible for
- Offering tailored, balanced advice as well as practical help in areas such as assisting those out of work to gain employment, supporting digitally excluded customers to make the most of the internet, filling in forms and making benefit claims and working out a household budget
- Maintaining regular contact with customers and recognise their unique circumstances
- Working closely with the welfare benefits advisors, the Income, Tenancy Solutions and Neighbourhoods Teams to identify customers who are likely to be affected by government welfare reforms, focusing on sustaining tenancies, maximising income and bringing down rent arrears
- Setting up and developing partnerships with other agencies to help customers access a wide range of additional financial services to help them maintain their rent account and sustain their tenancies
- Monitoring the outcomes and impact of all financial-inclusion activity to report and follow up on any issues or concerns raised by our customers

Applicants must have a full driving licence and daily access to a car for work use. There will be a car allowance paid on a pro-rata basis.
