Principal Teachers has a vacancy for a lower KS2 Teacher to begin a full time post in a Harrogate primary school. The school requires a Year 3 Class Teacher to join the KS2 team from October or as soon as possible. The position is available on an on going basis and so the successful applicant must show flexibility. You will be responsible for all planning, teaching and assessment for Year 3 and be able to drive results forward working in collaboration with the other KS2 teachers. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their passion for teaching and learning through the delivery of an enriching, varied and robust curriculum. You will be able to motivate pupils in Year 3 to achieve their full potential by creating stimulating learning experiences and providing them with the tools and support to succeed.
Graded 'Good' by Ofsted, this Harrogate based primary school serves a large catchment area and is well regarded within the local community. You will have a full time TA in class and therefore, you will need to deploy your TA effectively to support teaching and enhance pupil learning. Behaviour across the school is good and you will need to fully embrace the school's behaviour management policy and ethos in order to uphold standards. The Head Teacher is seeking a professional, who can plan meticulously and confidently assess in order to inform personalised target setting for Year 3 children. You will need to demonstrate your ability to cater to the needs of all children including those identified as SEN and Gifted and Talented.
The successful applicant will have:
-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
-Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
-Previous experience of teaching in the UK
-Knowledge of the current Primary National Curriculum requirements for KS2
-Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
-The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
-Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
-A commitment to improving attainment for all students
-A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
