Are you a different kind of Support Worker?
Then this post is definitely for you, we are putting people first and focusing on what people with a disability can do as opposed to what they cannot, supporting people in such a diverse way is one of the main reasons why Halton Community Services has won national awards.

We believe that people with a disability should be the drivers in their lives not the passengers; therefore person centred support workers need to apply to support people to learn the ethics of work in one of our many award winning businesses.

Halton Community Day Services for adults with disabilities has a vacancy for a committed individual to act in the capacity of Support Worker to promote people with disabilities to engage in work and meaningful opportunities within their local community.

Could you with training and guidance work alongside someone with a disability to contribute to our wonderful and prosperous businesses in catering and cafes, market gardening, hairdressing salon, micro brewing, husbandry, crafts and local shops.

You will need to be flexible enough to work across a number of venues between 9.00am - 5.00pm within the Borough and to support people to take part in a variety of meaningful activities that promote employment, inclusion and offers opportunities to the people we support to promote independence.

Experience is not essential your value base is, as training will be provided in the key areas.

Halton Borough Council operates a salary sacrifice car lease car scheme, car allowance, up to 33 days annual leave, a flexible working week and free parking. We provide a comprehensive range of learning and development, including management/leadership training.

Application forms and further details are available from our website by the “Apply” button on this page. Please quote the reference number given above.

The Council and its schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff, workers and volunteers to share this commitment.
