35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, bank holiday, evening and weekend working may be required)

As a Client Consultant, it will be your responsibility to effectively manage a caseload of clients from initial vocational profile/development plan stage to sustained paid employment.
You will be required to work alongside the Employer Consultant team to provide all pre-employment/in work support required by clients during their journey from Initial assessment to sustaining paid employment.

Position Summary
As a Client Consultant your role will include the following duties;
• Work alongside the Employment Consultant to plan and prioritise individual activities towards achieving the clients vocational/development plans
• To provide 1:1 support for clients towards them achieving set goals in line with their agreed pathway from Initial Assessment to Sustainable Paid Employment
• Write and follow risk assessments to ensure appropriate control measures are in place to safeguard clients, yourself, employers and members of the community
• Meet regularly with clients to support progression through their agreed pathway, keeping the client at the heart of the journey, with the goal of paid employment remaining the key objective
• Provide the Senior Employment Consultant with weekly, monthly and annual statistical data
• Supply written and verbal reports to the Senior Employment Consultant/Head of Operations and SMBC commissioners as requested

Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have the required skills and experience to undertake this role including;
• Experience or knowledge of working with disadvantaged people is essential and experience of selling business to business preferably to employers
• Experience of working in multi-disciplinary setting is desirable
• Ability and experience of writing and following risk assessments is essential

• A knowledge of current market trends in community care and supported employment
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• TSI or Sales / Marketing trained is desirable
• Knowledge and ability to use Work Star is desirable
• A current driving licence and use of a car which will include transporting clients is essential
