Due to sensible growth, We have a permanent vacancy for a Site Manager for out international agri-food technology Client.
My Client provides animal and human health solutions to the farm, feed and food industry internationally.

The Role

The Site Manager will manage and coordinate all production, quality, warehousing, H&S, engineering and environmental functions on site, liaising closely with the Belfast support staff.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, results-driven person with a professional manner.

The Candidate

Qualified in Engineering (manufacturing, electrical or mechanical) or business-related discipline or experience at an equivalent level, you will have a proven track record of delivering in a senior manufacturing operation

You will have the experience to bring clear strategic thinking to key operational, financial, IT related and innovation/change decisions. You will possess strong leadership skills and have excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to influence senior executives, customers and staff at the shop-floor level.
You will also be required to demonstrate a successful track record of effective people management and leading and delivering significant change in a competitive and complex business environment.
Key duties:
Reporting to the Operations Director you will be responsible for the following:
*Production scheduling and planning
*On Time Delivery to customers
*Quality standards and regulatory compliance
*H&S, security and environmental standards
*Engineering management of planned maintenance and breakdown repair
*Development and Capital Expenditure project management
*IT project management
*Financial Management
*KPI setting for Site, Team and Individuals
*Creating a Lean and Continuous Improvement culture
*Staff recruitment, induction and training
*Site, Team and Individual performance management
*Creating a positive, supportive work environment
*Disciplinary, grievances and Industrial Relations

Essential Criteria:

*Third level education in an engineering, manufacturing, food technology or business related degree, or extensive experience at a senior level
*Knowledge of production and operations management with proven track record of delivery within a senior manufacturing role
*Experience of leading innovation or significant involvement in product or process innovation team
*A proven track record of successfully leading and delivering significant change
*Good experience in Project Management of capital expenditure projects or significant business re-vamping or IT projects
*Strong knowledge of IT and experience of IT project implementation
*Excellent commercial awareness
*Good knowledge of financial management and managerial accounting
*Demonstrable experience of good people management and leadership in a complex work environment
*Analytical thinking skills; Comfortable working with data, tolerant of situations of complexity where not all data is available; conversant with statistical processes
*Thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes
*Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence stakeholders
*Ability to work in a demanding and challenging environment
*Flexible and adaptable approach in terms of role and work hours
*Ability to travel regularly to group sites in UK and Europe
Desirable Criteria:

*Experience in Warehouse Management systems
*PRINCE 2 qualified, or other project management qualification
*Experience working in a fast paced, multi-site environment
Salary and Benefits:

*Competitive salary dependent upon skills and experience
*5% company matched pension scheme
*37.5hr week, flexibility will be required
*The is a site based role with occasional travel to group sites as required.
