Our client supplies water to 685,000 people in the London Boroughs of Sutton, Merton, and Croydon, as well as across East Surrey and parts of Kent. They are a forward thinking, innovative company that is highly regarded for their efficiency and customer service.
 
They currently have an opportunity for a Leakage Control Technician to join their team. Your main responsibilities are for all distribution operational matters relating to pressure reduction, leakage control and district metering through the area of supply and maintenance of Company databases.
 
Further to this you will maintain the district Metering System hardware / Company databases, you will analyse data from District Metering System and liaise with with leakage contractors when needed. You will perform programming, installation and removal of data loggers and assist Leakage Inspectors as required.
 
The Ideal candidate will have Water industry experience, ideally with water distribution networks knowledge. With your excellent organisation skills you will be able to demonstrate practical and problem-solving, along with a high level of customer service. They’d like you to have knowledge of the principles of pressure management and an understanding of how leakage is measured (desirable but not essential to the role). It would also be an advantage if you had knowledge of programming and deploying pressure / flow loggers and Installing / commissioning PRVs.
 
Due to the nature of the role you must be available for call out and occasional overtime.
