This is a great opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable digital specialist to become part of our forward thinking, progressive (and expanding!) e-Commerce team on a permanent basis!

You will be joining one of the UK's largest independently owned specialist tour operators who look after the arrangements of tens of thousands of clients each year to a wide range of destinations throughout the UK, across Europe and worldwide.

Working as part of a close-knit team you will be responsible for implementing the annual conversion rate optimisation plan; increasing the effectiveness of UX/UI, design, functionality and onsite content through systematic A/B and MVT testing. You will monitor and report on KPI’s for the website, driving new initiatives to create additional online revenue and keep abreast of new marketplace ideas and technologies to support the e-Commerce team’s continued performance and growth to be ahead of our competition.

Core tasks of this role include:
Optimising key online customer journeys, across all devices, including key routes to and through the website from all online and offline acquisition and retention activity
Driving new online techniques to showcase client products in exciting and engaging ways; highlighting the products and value proposition throughout the booking journey
Driving development and delivery of personalisation strategies on the website
Defining and prioritising weekly E-Commerce tactics focusing on the customer journey, including design improvements
End-to-end ownership of A/B and MVT programmes for the website
Using web analytics to review key performance indicators, identifying testing hypothesis to deliver conversion improvements
Providing thought leadership on conversion rate optimisation and identifying latest best practices
Creating and maintaining a UX testing framework for key initiatives, developments and changes
Owning Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager accounts
Delivering key e-Commerce reports, summaries and analysis to the rest of the business
People management of team member’s – devising and implementing development plans and performance management processes

To be considered for this role, you must:
Have experience working within an E-Commerce environment, ideally travel or retail
Have proven learnings from having put conversion rate optimisation and usability testing into practice, including booking funnel initiatives
Have a deep understanding of usability and key drivers to conversion
Be highly numerate – able to model and forecast targets, analyse data and provide actionable insight along with key reporting, to senior management
Be an experienced Advanced Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager user, with proven experience of implementing tag and reporting structures
Be an experienced user of other analytics packages e.g. Power BI as well as A/B and MVT testing tools
Have a deep understanding of core search engine optimisation best practices, with experience of using crawler tools

And will also:
Be versatile and able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, ideally with Project Management experience such as Prince2
Be an experienced team leader, with experience in development and performance management processes
Be a team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to motivate, energise and develop a team
Be sales-focused, commercially astute, driven, and able to deliver against extremely challenging deadlines in a very fast-paced environment
Be an innovator and excellent communicator
