LOCATION: Crawley, West Sussex
JOB TITLE: Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative (7.5 tonnes)
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP18,500.00 DOE + bonus + excellent benefits package
WORKING HOURS: Full Time- 8 am- 5.30pm, 1-hour lunch, 5 day week Monday - Fri 42.5 hours a week

THE ROLE: Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative - Crawley, West Sussex
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative /Delivery Driver based in Crawley, West Sussex. The purpose of the position is to provide a professional and efficient delivery service in accordance with relevant legislation, company EHS and quality policies.

The successful candidate for the Warehouse Operative / Delivery Driver position will demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail, thoroughness and a methodical approach to work. You will be an excellent team player with a willingness to work extra hours or help out in areas outside of your role.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative /Delivery Driver based in Crawley, West Sussex. The purpose of the position is to provide a professional and efficient delivery service in accordance with relevant legislation, company EHS and quality policies.
Key Responsibilities of the Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative Crawley, West Sussex to include:-
- Ensure that the Company vehicle allocated is maintained in a roadworthy and clean condition, documenting appropriate checks and reporting any faults immediately.
- Assist in loading assembled orders onto vehicle ensuring that the payload is within the limits for the vehicle and that the permissible axle weights are not exceeded and that goods are safely loaded for transportation and delivery
- Ensure duties are carried out within legal requirements complying fully with the requirements of the Company Operators Licence.
- Ensure all scheduled deliveries are completed on time, in full on a daily basis, utilising the relevant route planning tools
- Deliver to customers as directed and assist with unloading and taking to the final delivery point as requested.
- Communicate all customer problems and sales opportunities to the branch sales team promptly
- Present a professional image to the customer, be pleasant and courteous at all times and comply with company dress requirements.
- Report any accidents immediately
- Picking delivery orders & checking deliveries off as per Company Code of Practice.

- A full driving licence you can use in the UK (Essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic and highly driven individual
- Ability to work under pressure to meet (and exceed) targets
- 7.5-tonne licence & CPC qualified
- Warehouse/distribution environment experience
- Fork Lift Licence (preferred but not essential)
- Live within a reasonable commutable distance to Crawley, West Sussex
