• Work pattern: full time (37 hours pw)

Job Purpose:

Under the direction of the Internal Audit and Risk Assurance Manager (HIA) be responsible for the timely execution /co-ordination of risk-based internal audits in accordance with the annual audit strategy, as well as providing support for other audit matters and projects as they arise. Assist in the development and embedding of the risk management approach and culture within NRW.

Job Specific Criteria (essential):

1. A professional audit or financial qualification is essential requirement for this role.
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with senior managers and maintain a customer-orientated approach.
3. Ability to analyse complex information, present key conclusions and withstand challenge from others to conclusions.
4. Strong problem solving skills.
5. Ability to communicate complex issues, written and verbally.
6. Self-motivated and able to manage own workload.
