Accounts Assistant - Purchase Ledger
Exeter
GBP18,000 - GBP19,500
9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday
We are currently working with a client on the outskirts of Exeter who are now seeking an accounts professional with purchase ledger experience. This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience and is now looking to join an outgoing team.
Main Duties:
* Purchase ledger invoice processing including signing and authorisation process, coding and reconciling
* Check Aged Creditors and update accordingly
* Monthly statement reconciliation
* Control and processing of Utility invoices
* Control of rates bills and associated correspondence
* Maintaining and keeping ledgers up to date
* Weekly and monthly Purchase cheque runs
* Cover for Cashbook and bank reconciliations
* Cover for Other team members for Holidays
* Holiday cover for admin
* Answering telephones.
* Any other adhoc ledger duties as and when required
* Building order numbers to area managers for repair costs
* Archiving of accounts information
* To perform any other tasks or duties as required
Main Requirements:
* Previous purchase ledger experience - essential
* Ability to clearly communicate at all levels
* Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
* Proficient in excel and word
