Person Specification - Primary Teaching Assistant (Languages Specialist)
The school requires an ambitious graduate who has obtained a 2:1 or above in their degree, and is passionate about working with children where English is an Additional Language (EAL). Perhaps you have studied or worked abroad. It is essential you are able to speak multi-languages. Ideally you will have the desire and motivation to become a teacher in the future. The school therefore requires a graduate who has excellent communication skills and possesses a motivational attitude.

The Role - Primary Teaching Assistant (Languages Specialist)

As a Primary Teaching Assistant you will be supporting children aged between 4 - 11 years old, assisting with the organising, planning and preparation of lessons. You will run focused interventions with international new arrivals, running phonics and reading workshops to help develop their language skills. With your additional language, the school would like you to run a lunch time or after school club, as languages have become an important part of the KS2 curriculum.
