NIGHT PORTER

Required to start as soon as possible, Cheltenham College currently has a vacancy for a Night Porter to provide an initial point of contact, fire access control and deal with other mechanical and electrical issues during the evening, silent hours and the early morning.

The post holder will be a member of the College Estates Team and will report to the Portering and Security Manager and the Health, Safety and Risk Manager.

Previous knowledge of the security industry is essential and the successful candidate(s) will be educated to a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent including English and hold a current 3 day FAW (First Aid at Work) course (or be capable of working towards it).

Experience of working in a school would be desirable.

Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills are required along with a flexible and conscientious attitude. The ability to communicate well orally and in writing is essential.

A full clean driving licence is required.

Salary: £8.31 per hour and hours of work on a 12 hour shift pattern based on 4 days on and 8 days off, full year.
