2nd Line Support Engineer - MCP 
Great Yarmouth, Norfolk (office/field based, with travel to customer sites throughout Great Yarmouth, Norfolk and North Suffolk) 
£22,000 - £24,000 DOE Plus Pension, 20 Days’ Holiday (+ Bank Holidays), Company Vehicle 

Providing expert assistance and support to their customers, our client is a full-service IT systems company that supplies, installs and maintains business IT systems for local SME organisations. They are now looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their 12-strong team.

As a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you’ll be tasked with supporting SME customers throughout Great Yarmouth, Norfolk and North Suffolk with their IT systems. 

Working with a portfolio of around 160 customers, you will install PCs and network devices and maintain them to a high level of operational service. There will also be some exposure to server installs. 

Additionally, you will have the chance to take on some project management activities, making this the ideal role in which to expand your areas of expertise. You will also have input in to the research and implementation of emerging technologies to ensure that our client retains their market-leading status.

- At least three years’ IT support experience 
- Experience of troubleshooting Windows networks and Windows 
- A Microsoft certification such as an MCP (or equivalent) 
- A full driving licence 

Pragmatic and methodical, as a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you must have excellent problem-solving skills and a strong customer focus. 

A track record of implementing, supporting and troubleshooting Windows Desktop Operating Systems, networks and some Server experience would be highly advantageous, but is by no means essential.
