Our Client is an innovative and leading national Modular loft conversion company with 20-years reputation for quality and service.

They now have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join their Team.

As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the efforts and results of the financial department. Reporting to the Managing Director in regards to all financial and accounting activities. Overseeing financial department staff in day-to-day operations, reporting to the MD with timely and accurate financial information and assisting the MD in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.

The role will also include overseeing all group company accounts, preparing monthly and annual management reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts. Managing cash flow by tracking transactions and looking forward through regularly reviewing internal reports, supervising and managing financial department staff.

You will motivate and lead the finance team members by clarifying roles and providing training and development, suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll, project costing and work in progress systems and ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.

The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant and will have several years of experience in industry, preferably in construction. You should also have management experience, leadership skills, interpersonal skills and outstanding mathematical skills.

You will have solid written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, organisational skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

In addition, you should also have research skills, analytical skills and computer skills. Knowledge of Sage Accounting Software and experience in project costing is essential.
