Hours: contracted 3 hours** per week but with flexibility to clerk additional meetings paid on a casual overtime basis

Contract: Fixed Term contract until 31.08.2018, Term time only, part time
Start date: Soon as possible (1.9.2017 - 31.8.2018)
Salary: JG6, SCP 26 £23,398 to SCP 29 £25,951 per annum pro rata
Actual Salary: £1,644 per annum**
Lighthouse Schools Partnership are looking to recruit an exceptional candidate in the role of Clerk to the Trustees to work closely with the wider schools' administration teams.
The main duties of the role as Clerk to the Trustees will be to provide advice to the Board of Trustees on governance, constitutional and procedural matters and administer the Trust by:
• providing effective administrative support to the Trustees and its committees
• helping ensure the Board of Trustees is properly constituted
• managing information effectively in accordance with legal requirements and provide advice to the Trustees where appropriate

The table attached denotes the hours needed to work and meeting dates for planning purposes for the Clerk, who will need to attend and minute each meeting.
The successful candidate will be able to work successfully with a wider range of people involved in the legal framework of Trust operations, who work remotely and outside of the Trust itself. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must along with an enthusiasm for change, organisation, prioritisation and record keeping. They will be expected to make a contribution to formal meetings and be prepared to be a creative and informative member of the Trust team.
Please read to Job description and person specification for more information. There will be the requirement for the Clerk to develop their own specialist knowledge in accordance with academy, governance and multi-academy trusts as well as attend additional meetings where required eg for appeal meetings through an academic year. For meetings clerked outside contracted hours, these will be paid at normal hourly rate and claimed the month they are accrued on an overtime basis. There is no time in lieu option.
