ROLE
The role of a recruitment consultant is a challenging and rewarding position. You will find no two days are the same, calling and meeting both clients and candidates, you will have to adapt on a hourly basis to the needs of your customers. You will be making sales calls and they don't always run smoothly so you need tenacity and resilience but most importantly so you should enjoy working to targets and love the thrill of closing a deal!
You will need a good telephone manner, strong communication skills, be well presented and enjoy dealing with people on a daily basis. You will work in a strong team environment with everyone supporting each other so being a team player is important too.
PERSON
This is likely to suit an outgoing, competitive, bright individual who has big ambitions for their career. You are probably degree educated or equivalent calibre, have a busy life outside of academic success and may play sports or engage in other team based activities and crucially love the idea of earning a lot of money and working with likeminded individuals!
You need to have a strong work ethic and be prepared to take the knocks that inevitably come from a job dealing with people and sales. It's not all plain sailing however the rewards and career opportunities are fantastic.
PACKAGE
Starting salary is between GBP16-18k on experience, realistic first year earnings will be in the GBP30-40k mark and progression, pay rises, holidays, cash rewards, company cars are all available to those who hit the heights!
