Data Scientist (Home-based)

My client is an exciting start up organisation within the staffing industry. We are looking for a Data Scientist that’s looking to advance their career, to join a growing and fast paced IT team, building a SaaS platform that is disrupting the traditional resourcing industry. This position would suit a recent graduate that’s looking for an opportunity to cut their teeth and prove a point.

Alongside the existing team you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience, whilst exploring new technologies.

Skills Required

• Degree/MSc/PhD in numerate subject e.g. Maths, Applied Sciences, Engineering
• Exceptional numerical ability and creative thinker/problem solver
• Database extraction and manipulation using SQL, with experience in handling big-data an advantage e.g. AWS/Hadoop
• Experience using major data science tools
• Proficiency in statistical modelling and machine learning techniques
• Experience in feature engineering and designing robust model tuning approaches would be an advantage
