Mid-Weight Graphic Designer (Apparel)

 

Purpose of the Role:

To design graphic artistry across a broad range of the Fanatics partner portfolio. Create designs suitable for multiple printing techniques, applications, trims and packaging. The products will mainly be apparel lines but some accessories and souvenirs may also be needed from time to time.

Liaising with the Designers, Buyers and Product Developers to ensure the product needs of the business and the partner client are met and executed

Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

  • Design graphics for print / applications / trims / packaging
  • Develop graphic artistry suitable for the Fanatics customer, and Fanatics partners, in line with the business-critical path
  • Work with Designers to create comprehensive design packs for factories and where appropriate present this to buyers and suppliers
  • Actively share fresh ideas to the wider team
  • Research competitors and trend / street styles that are relevant and new for our brand and our partner’s brands.
  • Create seasonal mood and range boards

Knowledge / Skills / Experience:

  • MUST have experience in fashion/sports apparel industry
  • Qualification in Graphic Design or similar
  • High proficiency in Photoshop & Illustrator. Some knowledge on InDesign preferred but not essential
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to edit, retouch & resize images with speed & accuracy
  • Self-motivating, driven, & confident in their abilities with the ability to interact well with people at all levels within the business
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment under short deadlines
  • Ability to take constructive feedback on board
  • Positive & upbeat
  • 2+ years of working in apparel graphic design
  • Strong creative portfolio
  • Fully coherent of both the design techniques and product development processes relating to graphics, including a keenness to keep up-to-date with the latest print techniques
