If you are an individual who enjoys driving business change across multiple teams and really seeing the fruits of your effort then we'd love to have you as part of The Nottingham's Product Management Team. In this role you will be responsible for delivering changes to our product offering that will either improve our already high service standards or increase business.

The focus of this role will be on the development of the Mortgage proposition and therefore will have a large focus on project work. Whilst the role still operates as a Mortgage Product Manager the emphasis of required skills will be on stakeholder management, excellent time management and project management skills as opposed to pricing and forecasting responsibilities - although an understanding will be required.

We are a Building Society that is opening branches, are still increasing numbers of Mortgage applications and we are known for being that little bit different to other organisations with our 'All Under One Roof' proposition.

The key responsibilities of this role include -

* Devise and recommend to the Senior Manager, Products and Business changes to the core mortgage product offering. Once agreed ensure changes or developments are implemented within agreed budgets and deadlines. Carry out regular reviews of changes to ensure they continue to meet corporate and business needs. Produce analyses of the effectiveness of various activities compared to targets.
* Work closely with key business stakeholders to quickly assess potential delivery of changes to product offering, criteria changes and market development then prioritise delivery of changes accordingly.
* Champion the development of new products and services, and the rationalisation of existing ones, providing recommendations in the light of competitor activity, customer needs and our corporate/business needs. Once agreed, implement recommendations within agreed budgets, deadlines and the Product Governance Framework. Ensure the risk implications of product development and rationalisation proposals are fully understood and appropriate countermeasures are put in place where required.
* Keep abreast of, interpret and include in all product/service development, rationalisation and promotions, the requirements of The Nottingham's corporate guidelines and design manual, relevant legislation (MCOB), policies, controls and best practices, ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance at all times.
* Responsible for maintaining professional working relationships with key external suppliers (e.g. Trigold), industry bodies and internal customers, particularly the marketing communications team, sales and business development functions, Retail Lending team, Customer Services, Treasury, Finance, Credit/Operational Risk and the Executive
* Ensure the achievement of The Nottingham's financial and other business objectives take all reasonable steps to determine the needs of external and internal customers, and provide accurate and prompt service to satisfy their needs, communicating to appropriate people on matters outside the jobholder's immediate area of responsibility

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate -

Knowledge:

* In depth knowledge and understanding of all relevant codes of practice, regulations, legislation and other guidelines, e.g. MCOB
* Specialist marketing practical and technical knowledge for their core activity.
* A good understanding of the Group's other products and services
* A sound working knowledge of all other areas for which the Marketing team are responsible.
* A depth and range of other technical know-how sufficient to co-ordinate all relevant associated activities both of other internal departments and external suppliers:
* A thorough understanding of the Group's corporate/business aims.
* In depth knowledge and understanding of all relevant codes of practice, regulations, legislation and other guidelines
* Best practice measurement techniques to evaluate success of products.

Experience/Skills:

* Substantial practical marketing experience in a mortgage product management or change environment.
* The ability to build a network of contacts and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including the Senior Leadership Team.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills; able to manage numerous projects at once and work well under pressure to tight deadlines.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Able and happy to use own initiative to identify and recommend creative and compliant solutions
* Used to managing and prioritising own workload.
* First class report writing skills using excellent grammar and spelling.

Qualifications:

* Educated to degree level with an additional relevant professional qualification of CIM Diploma
