The European Training Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of comprehensive, integrated training strategies, and programs to support and drive of the business goals and objectives. Areas of focus include technical training for Operations, Funded Learning Programmes particularly apprenticeships, soft skills training (such as Management skills, Customer service, etc.), and compliance training.
The incumbent will have the responsibility for developing and managing a centralised operational technical training function as well as Managing our Funded learning programmes and the Pearson Learning Centre.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
·Provide strategic direction, leadership and organizational training and development programs and initiatives.
·Understand key business drivers and new funding Initiatives in order to work with the Managers and other business leaders to identify training needs and opportunities to utilize the Apprenticeship Levy Funding.
·Prioritise training needs supporting the business leaders with key initiatives including the Pearson accredited training and its delivery.
·Manage execution of logistical planning of Training programs.This includes training agenda, content management, supporting partner scheduling and travel scheduling.
·Assist with business development initiative to include implementation of new Training, processes, and applications to support both Business lead and funded learning arenas.
·Develop a functional understanding of the Apprenticeship Levy and utilising the funding within the business. Knowledge of competitive solutions, Skills Funding agency and OFSTED, to facilitate a thorough understanding of the Funded Training market and its changing environment.
·Ability to create self-assessment reports, Quality Improvement Plans and Manage actions to gain the highest OFSTED rating.
·Develop and fully support and Implement the of e-learning Strategies including Steris University.
·Support the launch of the accredited Pearson Programmes to support site technician development whilst maximising its potential for the UK business.
·Management of the regional training managers in the UK and responsibility to lead the development of a training team in Italy
·Learner Registration, Data Management and Compliance.
Experience and Education Requirements:
•Degree or Equivalent in HR or Training
•Significant experience in a Funded Learning environment.
•Able to evidence and Demonstrate experience in a similar role.
•Experience with development and roll out ofe-learning solutions required.
•Ability to manage multiple assigned projects simultaneously along with solid prioritisation skills.
•Experience of utilising adult learning principles to design and deliver effective training programs.
•Experience designing and delivering product, soft skills and technical training required.
•Significant understanding of OFSTED, the Skills Funding Agency and EFSA.
•Knowledge of the ROATP application process.
