Web Developer – Product Development
At CDL we are currently looking for a Web Developer – Product Development to come and join our team based in Stockport. You will receive a salary of up to £33,000 per annum.
CDL is one of the UK’s leading insurance software houses, employing over 600 people at its campus in Stockport. It has a strong track record in the high volume retail insurance sector, with clients including Ageas Retail, Swinton Insurance, Tesco Bank, iGO4 and John Lewis, to name a few. About the Web Developer – Product Development role
Do you like solving problems and have the tenacity to overcome any difficulties put in your path? You will be an innovator who aspires to being the best whilst conceptualising, creating architecture of websites. You will adore writing code and be committed to helping your product owner achieve their ideals. You will create web solutions, contribute in developing responsive web apps, whilst collaborating with your team members working in an Agile driven environment. Here at CDL, we are as passionate about evolving our technologies as much as yourself, you will develop in ES6, LESS, SASS, SCSS, one day and contribute on R&D projects another. This is an ideal opportunity for a passionate front-end developer that cares about their code craft, and loves developing websites and apps.
What we’re looking for in our Web Developer – Product Development
- Proven ability of writing HTML5, CSS3, LESS, SCSS
- Proven ability of using JavaScript/ES6 or JQuery to add dynamic aspects to websites
- Ability to work both with and without the support of a framework (eg. Bootstrap)
- Able to adapt provided designs into Responsive sites
- Working knowledge of Mobile first design
- Working knowledge of Usability
- Awareness of Accessibility Guidelines
- Semantically marking up content (HTML5, schema. org, ARIA)
- Good understanding of SEO
- Degree Educated – preferably in Web Development, or Computer Science
