This is an opportunity to join a specialist travel company, providing trips for groups all over the world.

They are looking for new team members with sales experience, to join us as Product & Destination Specialists. This is an office based position, with the opportunity for overseas travel.

Job Summary

To proactively contribute to the generation of new business, as well as maintaining and nurturing existing business through the provision of timely and accurate quotations that meet the needs of the party leaders. To work collectively with the Travel Advisors and the Product Delivery Team in order to achieve team and individual targets - termly and end of season.

Key Responsibilities

- Working with the Sales team and the Product Delivery Team to create competitive bespoke packages that best meet with the needs of their customers.
- Providing accurate quotations.
- Maintaining history of all communication on the CRM and reservation system.
- Providing information and guidance to the TAs on the destinations and the various accommodation and excursions that are available in that area.
- Developing, and communicating excellent product knowledge by keeping up to date with all product developments.
- Providing of feedback on your sales enquiries / projects.
- Contributing to the sales team as an active team member by providing support and assistance when required.

Person Specification

- Previous sales experience (any sector) with a proven record.
- Knowledge of the school travel market. (desirable).
- Knowledge, understanding and experience of a consultative selling approach, with the ability to identify and meet customer needs quickly in order to secure a sale.
- A strong sense of personal ownership and initiative in order to drive sales through to completion.
- Experience of working to targets - individual, team and organisational.
- Strong, outbound sales skills and experience.
- Excellent and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer service and administration skills with the ability to prioritise and time manage.
- Confident in presenting to groups of people utilising Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated with the drive for success.
- Able to work under your own initiative and without supervision.
- Experience of travel, or working in travel. (desirable)
- Good working understanding of office IT products including MS word, MS excel and MS outlook.

This position is predominantly office based, however, there may be the occasional requirement to spend nights away from the office.

Full driving licence is desirable, and ability to travel overseas as required.
