About the Role
Reporting to the IT Manager – Demand you will have overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of all allocated projects ensuring completion to agreed success criteria.
Within the role, you will deliver allocated projects meeting all to agreed financial, time and quality criteria, undertake the development of the required project documentation in consultation with, and for approval by, the Project Board for each project that they are responsible for. In conjunction with the members of the project team, develop and maintain project plans, which clearly identify how and when resources will be used, deliverables produced and objectives met
Leading the teams, as required for each project, through the full project lifecycle and ensure business process re-engineering, training and other change management activities are undertaken as necessary to support the delivery of the project. You will ensure the quality of delivery of the system against the business and system requirements as specified in the requirement specification through the use of quality plans and review points, to comply with the Quality Management System, ensure the resulting systems and business processes are adequately documented, and that they are supportable in practice for its expected lifecycle and maintain continuous communication with the Project Board, Project Team, appropriate UK IT Services Managers, affected areas of the business, and other functions as necessary.
About You
They are looking for an individual who will ideally hold a qualification in Computer Science, Management, Business Information Systems or equivalent work experience and will hold a recognised project management accreditation i.e. Prince2, PMP, Agile.
You will have strong professional experience in a business environment, systems project management experience and good working knowledge of Business processes covering Integrated financial, commercial and operational systems with experience of business understanding of their operations and use, reporting and application architecture with physical understanding of implementation and associated limitations and process (and some systems) analysis and design methodologies.
You will be a strong problem solver, have the ability to work effectively independently, as a team member and to support and direct subordinates, demonstrable business experience in aspects of change management and support and excellent communication and relationship skills.
Due to the nature of the role you must be willing to travel.
