Our Student Support Services function makes an important contribution to the NTU student experience, providing a range of specialist and professional services for students and operating in an integrated, multidisciplinary student services context across three University sites.

We wish to appoint experienced and motivated individuals to the role of Student Support Advisors within our Student Support Services department. This is part of an exciting new development to deliver Student Support interventions within the setting of the academic school. The roles will provide support to academic schools in developing and delivering proactive strategies for supporting students. The roles will provide early intervention, assessment and risk management to students experiencing a range of personal and practical difficulties and experiences that may impact on their academic progression.

Educated to degree level, the successful candidate will have a good understanding of current practice and the provision of support services for students in higher education and the barriers that students may face to a successful university experience. You will also have experience of providing support to vulnerable individuals and working in partnership with other professionals to find solutions.

In addition, you will have strong communication, organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability to work as a team to develop and evaluate this new development.
